This Photo Friday, we at JG Black Book raise our glasses to an exciting new partner and its much-anticipated opening. If ever there were to be a sequel to Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Owen Wilson would inevitably find himself confabulating with Oscar Wilde and Aubrey Beardsley at a corner table at this London gem. Fast forward a few decades and in would stroll Winston Churchill, Princess Diana, and Brigitte Bardot. Oh my!

This was the place to write prose, the place to discuss politics, and the place to flaunt fashion.

This was Café Royal.

Fast forward yet again to the present and, after three years of restoration and redevelopment, Café Royal preps to re-open its doors on December 5th, this time as a luxuriously grand hotel.
