ACHUMA at Sol & Luna Lodge Spa

Prepare yourselves for a new form of entertainment with Black Book Collection member Sol & Luna lodge spa in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru. AchumaSolyLuna10Sol & Luna lodge spa in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru
Introducing ACHUMA. With former performers of the legendary Cirque du Soleil and Kusikay in Cusco, ACHUMA is a new entertainment event exclusive to Wayra and Sol & Luna lodge spa that combines the story of theatre and the visual power of circus.

The name ACHUMA comes from the cactus that has been used by Andean peoples in sacred rituals for millenia. The ACHUMA troupe, Circadian, borrows its name to tell the story of the rite of passage of an apprentice shaman. Image1
Image2The path of our lead is lengthy and difficult. Guided by the Altomasayoq (shaman and master warrior), the apprentice uses achuma to discover the lessons of other worlds but must avoid the temptation of extreme power flaunted by the evil sorcerer.

Harmony and balance become imperative when the apprentice discovers worlds where natural laws and human perception take on undiscovered dimensions. As the apprentice nears the end of his trial, only one question remains: Will he succeed in mastering the spiritual clarity to understand the way?

The journey begins April of 2012 in Wayra, Fundo Huincho, Urubamba, Cusco.
